Macaque Clan

Red Hisaishi: Macaque Clan

A muffled boom erupts from the sky followed by a streak of orange clouds.
"Ah, the raid has begun again. Red Hisashi is claiming his boon."
"Who is he, grandpa?"
"He used to work for a council that watched over our land...it has long since crumbled. I think it was called 'government' back when the times were still at peace."
"Hmm....the tribes need something like that."
"That is true. But here we are, hiding from Red Hisashi, the long-lived...once protector of people, now enslaver of the innocent."

Artist’s Notes

The name “Hisaishi” means ambition, always and intention. I think it’s a perfect name for the macaque clan leader. I used “Snow Monkeys” or Japanese Macaques as inspiration for this clan and this particular group are all male (although I added tails on them).

Also, they all look like cute old people.
